Background
NVC Security manages a growing frontline workforce of 250 guards and staff, with a core team of 6 to 10 people responsible for keeping operations running day-to-day. As the business expanded, the team found itself relying on a patchwork of disconnected systems to schedule shifts, track attendance, run payroll, and keep employee records up to date — a setup that was starting to hold the company back.
Since NVC Security has been with Parim for over 10 years, we were excited to hear from Managing Director Chris Perry about why the company moved to Parim and how NVC’s operations have been changing since.
The Challenge
Before Parim, NVC Security managed its workforce across multiple disconnected systems, with no single source of truth for scheduling, employee records, payroll, or timesheets. Building or updating a single schedule could take up to four hours.
"We reached a point where managing the workforce manually was becoming too time-consuming and prone to errors," Chris explained. "As the business grew, scheduling shifts, tracking attendance, and communicating changes became increasingly difficult. We wanted a more efficient and reliable way to manage our workforce."
Scheduling, employee records, payroll, and timesheets were flagged as the operational areas causing the biggest headaches — and it was clear that stitching together separate tools for each of them was no longer sustainable.
Why Parim?
When evaluating new workforce management partners, NVC Security weighed up ease of use, automation, reporting and operational visibility, customer support, integrations, and cost. Parim stood out on all fronts.
"We ultimately chose Parim because it offered the features we needed in one platform while remaining intuitive and easy for both managers and employees to use," Chris said. "We also felt confident in the level of customer support and saw it as a solution that could grow with our business."
That said, switching systems wasn't a decision the team took lightly. "Our biggest concerns were how easily the team would adapt to a new system and whether the implementation would disrupt our day-to-day operations," Chris noted. "There was a learning curve, but we wanted a solution that was intuitive and well supported."
Getting Up and Running
NVC Security implemented Parim in under two weeks, drawing on video tutorials, the knowledge base, product training, and live support along the way. That combination of resources meant the team hit the ground running — most users were confident using the platform within their first few weeks.
The Results
Since implementing Parim, scheduling is the area that has improved the most for NVC Security. What used to take one to four hours now takes less than an hour — a dramatic 75% reduction in time spent on scheduling that has freed up significant time across the team.
"One of the biggest improvements has been shift scheduling," Chris said. "Previously, creating and updating rotas was a manual process that took a lot of time, and any last-minute changes meant multiple phone calls or messages to staff. With Parim, we can update schedules in real time, and everyone can see their shifts in one place."
Beyond scheduling, NVC Security has also seen improvements across HR and people management, payroll, client invoicing, and the overall employee experience — the direct result of bringing previously disconnected processes together into a single platform, such as integrating Parim payroll tracking directly with Wagestream.
In Summary
For NVC Security, moving from a patchwork of disconnected systems to Parim has meant faster scheduling, fewer manual errors, and a workforce management setup that can scale alongside the business.
"If you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use workforce management solution that streamlines scheduling and reduces administrative work, Parim is an excellent choice." — Chris Perry, Managing Director, NVC Security
